With a 1/4-inch CMOS sensor, this small analog camera module offers steady PAL video output for embedded imaging, monitoring, and surveillance applications. The module provides crisp and dependable image signals for standard-definition video systems with an effective resolution of up to 500 × 582 pixels, 420 TV lines of horizontal resolution, and an SNR of ≥50 dB.
The analog camera module, which measures just 38 x 38 mm, is intended for equipment with limited space. When ambient lighting is scarce, its built-in six LED lights help maintain usable image quality by adding extra illumination in low-light conditions. The module runs on DC 12V ±10% and supports a typical 1.0 Vp-p / 75 Ω analog video output.

The OV7725 is a 0.3MP VGA CMOS image sensor developed by OMNIVISION, designed for compact embedded vision applications that require high frame rates, low power consumption, and reliable image performance. Featuring a 1/4-inch optical format, 640 × 480 VGA resolution, and 6.0 μm pixel size, it delivers excellent light sensitivity and low-noise image capture, making it well suited for challenging lighting conditions. The sensor supports VGA output at up to 60fps and offers a parallel DVP interface for simple integration into embedded imaging systems.
Equipped with an integrated image signal processor (ISP), the OV7725 supports features such as automatic exposure (AEC), automatic white balance (AWB), automatic gain control (AGC), defective pixel correction, and image enhancement, ensuring stable and consistent image quality. Its high sensitivity, fast frame rate, and compact design make it an ideal choice for USB camera modules, robotics, machine vision, barcode scanners, industrial automation, smart toys, and embedded AI vision applications.
